This tote was made with recycled Korean hanbok and incorporated into the traditional Korean 보자기/bojagi. The embroidery is a decorative trim from the hanbok jacket and skirt. The deli plastic shopping bag shape is sewn with the traditional Korean fabric to balance the New York City interpretation. The tote is lined in solid contrast hanbok lining with a tie closure to replicate the 고름/Goreum-the ribbons on the jacket of the hanbok dress.
